Berendo MS Celebrates Red Ribbon Week – 2018

Wednesday 10/24 – Introduction to Red Ribbon Week

  • P8 Homeroom activity  – students will create and wear their own red ribbon pins and review fact sheet on the harmful effects/risks of drug and alcohol use
  • Lunchtime activity – trivia games. Students will answer questions based on fact sheets and win treats

Thursday 10/25 – Unhealthy vs. Healthy Coping

  • P7 Homeroom activity  – students will receive fact sheet on self-care and discuss their healthy coping/self-care strategies as alternatives to unhealthy coping
  • Lunchtime activity – healthy vs. unhealthy coping trivia. Students will answer questions and win treats, as well as create buttons based on their own healthy coping strategy

Friday 10/26 – Students Wear Red & Pledge to Drug – Free 

  • No homeroom activity
  • Students may wear red tops/sweaters school, must wear uniform bottoms. Staff is also encouraged to wear red J
  • Lunchtime activity – “I pledge to be drug free” photo booth, pledge wall, and snacks
